VoIP, known as Voice over Internet Protocol, is the general term used for making telephone call over the Internet. The main advantage of VoIP is that users can make any calls to anywhere in the world without any IDD surcharge, as long as there is Internet connection.
SIP, also referred to as Session Initiated Protocol, is the signaling protocol used to transmit ordinary telephone calls over the Internet. It involves the transmission of telephone calls over a data network like the Internet. SIP can send voice, fax and other information over the Internet, rather by traditional circuit transmissions of the PSTN.
IP Phone, which uses VoIP as the core technology, is being extensively and rapidly deployed. The main key factors are Flexibility and Cost Efficiency, which lures enterprises to transition to VoIP.
Our group has focused its Hong Kong based R&D resources on the development of the latest IP Phone System using VoIP as the core technology. The self-developed core product HKC IP64 is not just an IP Phone System, it also comes with many innovative applications catering to various enterprise’ needs. We have also won numerous awards: “Certificate of Merit in Machinery and Equipment Design” by Hong Kong Awards for Industries in 2005, and the “Certificate of Merit in Wireless Technology” by the Hong Kong ICT Award in 2006.
